ComfyUI Workflow: Video Background Removal with Bria AI

This ComfyUI workflow removes the background from any video clip and drops your subject onto a clean fill, using Bria's background-removal model. Load a clip, run the graph, and save the result. No green screen, no manual masking, no rotoscoping.

How It Works

The graph is three nodes, which is exactly why it runs fast:

• LoadVideo feeds your clip into the graph frame by frame.
• BriaRemoveVideoBackground detects the subject in every frame and separates it from the background. The default output places your subject on a black fill; the node also supports other fill colors and transparency.
• SaveVideo writes the processed clip back out at your source resolution.

Because Bria's model tracks the subject across frames rather than cutting each frame independently, the cutout stays stable through motion. That is the difference between this and running an image background remover over every frame by hand.

Quick Start in ComfyUI

• Load the workflow using the download button on this page.
• Drop your video in: point the LoadVideo node at your clip.
• Pick your fill: keep black, or switch the node's output setting if you want a different backdrop.
• Run the queue and wait for the save node to finish. Processing time scales with clip length and resolution.

Good To Know

• The Bria node ships with ComfyUI's official node set. If the workflow reports a missing node, update ComfyUI to the latest version before anything else.
• A transparent-background variant of this same template exists if you need an alpha channel for compositing into other footage.
• Long or high-resolution clips take real processing time. Start with a short test clip to confirm your settings, then run the full file.
